We know that choosing the ideal 2025 holiday destination isn’t easy.
Every year, millions of people embark on gruelling online quests to find the perfect place for their hard-earned holidays. At Lampo Group, we want to make life easy for you!
We’ve thought about our favourite things that the wonderful towns of Bibione and Caorle have to offer, and in this post we’ve put together a selection of four unique experiences to inspire you as you make your tough decision.
There’s something to suit all tastes: let’s take a look together!
Exploring Bibione on and around the water is a truly enchanting experience. As well as beaches covered with golden sand, Bibione is home to totally unique natural landscapes. For instance, take the Val Grande conservation area, which is the perfect place for holidaymakers who like discovering spots with delightfully distinctive features.
A spectacular lake environment awaits visitors, in a protected area spanning more than 300 hectares. As you wander among the reeds, lakes, ponds and green woods, you can admire a rich, varied array of flora and fauna. The gems in the conservation area also include an archaeological site where you can see the remains of the Mutteron dei Frati Roman villa.
You’ll be spoilt for choice thanks to the range of guided tours, marked paths and routes for cycling, walking and horse riding, and – our favourite – kayaking or canoeing experiences in the brackish water of the wetlands, surrounded by luxuriant vegetation and all sorts of protected animal species.
Here’s what you need to know: Val Grande is just a stone’s throw from the town centre, so it’s easy to walk or drive there. The entrance is at 4 Via Baseleghe, where you can buy tickets if you want to look around by yourself. If you’d like to take a guided tour or a boat trip, we strongly recommend booking in advance at one of the many agencies in the area.
This option is the top choice among travellers who want to enjoy adventures in natural surroundings on holiday.
Thanks to its broad, exceptionally organized network of cycling routes in both urban areas and natural surroundings, Bibione is a very popular destination for cycling tourism.
If you love riding your bike, our next activity is unquestionably something you’ll want to include in your travel plans!
The numerous routes in Bibione – with a variety of lengths and levels of difficulty – mean there’s something to suit all tastes and needs. However, we’d definitely recommend the route leading from Bibione to Punta Tagliamento Lighthouse, which is the gorgeous little town’s most iconic landmark.
It stretches out for 9 km along the coast, so you can savour the sea breeze as you admire the stunning scenery and all the wonders of nature. When you finally get to the lighthouse, the atmosphere is absolutely entrancing: the round white tower stands in a unique natural setting right next to the mouth of the river, creating a striking contrast with the surrounding landscape.
Here’s what you need to know: the route to the lighthouse is well marked, so it’s ideal for everyone, including families with children. You can hire bikes in the town. Don’t forget to take water, snacks and a camera so you can take plenty of pictures of the beautiful scenery!
One of the most colourful towns in Italy, Caorle has a gentle pace of life, two beaches (Ponente and Levante) and a historic centre steeped in a fairy-tale atmosphere.
If you want to combine sun, sea, sand, art and culture on your holiday, make sure you take a look around the town centre of this little gem, which is just a few miles from Venice.
There’s no specific route to follow during this experience: simply head into the town and start wandering along the narrow, cobbled streets lined with brightly coloured houses, where you’ll find hidden corners, artisan workshops and traditional restaurants serving outstanding dishes.
The quintessentially timeless atmosphere of a beautiful, traditional little fishing village still prevails in Caorle.
We recommend taking the time to visit the Cathedral of Santo Stefano in the central square. The architecture of the famous leaning bell tower is totally unique and if you climb to the top there are amazing views of the sea and the lagoon.
If you head out from the historic centre along the seafront, you’ll come across another of the charming town’s unmissable sights: the Living Rocks. In what is essentially an open-air museum, artists from all over the world have carved creations directly out of the rocks on the shore.
If you prefer holidays that are all about sun, sea, sand and having fun, don’t worry because Caorle is also the ideal place for throwing yourself into exciting water sports, then unwinding on the beach.
The picturesque town’s two main beaches are called Levante and Ponente. Both have exceptional facilities, not to mention soft, golden sand on a clean, safe shore that slopes gently into the sea. As well as sun loungers, umbrellas and outstanding services, they have a wide range of sporting activities to offer.
Windsurfing and kitesurfing are particularly popular due to the prevailing winds and the conditions on the water, but if you want to take things a little easier, you can try stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) or hire a canoe and explore the coast and the nearby canals.
Adrenaline junkies will be in their element thanks to thrilling activities such as jet-skiing and parasailing, which gives you a chance to enjoy breathtaking views all along the coast. If you’re looking for a more relaxing experience, you’ll be pleased to hear that many beach establishments run yoga or Pilates sessions on the sand!
Here’s what you need to know: as well as hiring a vast range of sports equipment, the beach establishments in Caorle run courses for everyone from beginners to experts. However, it’s best to book in advance, especially in the summer. In addition, many places by the beach serve food and drinks, so they’re ideal for a refreshing break between activities.
